Employee Gossip – Millennials and Politics in the Workplace

Company values

Having access to the Internet allows people to learn more about companies than ever before. Millennials and Gen Z apply their own principles. While it is true that at the end of the day, many people do what they have to do to make a living, there is a tendency in these two generations to care less about the values of what and who they support.

As Jeff Fromm put it in his Forbes article, “If Gen Z members disagree with a company’s morals, many of them will boycott the product completely and encourage their friends to do the same.”

The desire to work for and support companies that align with your personal beliefs is a trend that has been growing among millennials for more than a decade. A 2011 PWC survey found that 59% of participating millennials had or would seek out a company whose corporate values aligned with theirs, while 56% said they would consider leaving a company that no longer met their expectations.

These decade-old findings match our findings 23% from people who participated in our survey has chosen not to apply to a company because he does not agree with its political stance. The majority of participants are millennials and Gen Z.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
